# API Changelog

## October 7, 2026

## Video Reframe placement

* Reframe now takes an optional `placement`, to choose where the source video lands on the output frame. Pass an anchor such as `{ "anchor": "top" }` to fit and align it, or a rectangle such as `{ "x": 0, "y": 0.35, "width": 1 }` to set its position and size exactly.
* Requests without `placement` are unchanged: the source is centered at the largest size that fits.

[Submit a reframe job](/api-documentation/api-reference/async-video-generation/submit-video-to-video-reframe).

## September 24, 2026

## V1 video generation retirement date

* After October 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM UTC, requests to `/v1/text-to-video`, `/v1/image-to-video`, `/v1/audio-to-video`, `/v1/retake`, and `/v1/extend` will no longer work.
* Migrate to the corresponding V2 endpoints before then. The media upload endpoint remains `/v1/upload`.

See [Migrate from V1 to V2](/migrate-v1-to-v2).

## September 23, 2026

## Video Reframe

* Reframe now picks its own model, so you no longer need to send `model`. If you still send it, it's ignored. Existing requests keep working.

[Submit a reframe job](/api-documentation/api-reference/async-video-generation/submit-video-to-video-reframe).

## September 7, 2026

## V1 video generation deprecation

* V1 video generation endpoints with V2 replacements are being deprecated: `/v1/text-to-video`, `/v1/image-to-video`, `/v1/audio-to-video`, `/v1/retake`, and `/v1/extend`.
* Move to the corresponding V2 endpoints to submit background jobs, poll for completion, and download the result. Your authentication, generation request parameters, and pricing remain unchanged.
* The media upload endpoint remains `/v1/upload`.

See [Migrate from V1 to V2](/migrate-v1-to-v2) for endpoint mappings and code examples. Migrate before the deadline in your deprecation notice.

## September 2, 2026

## ltx-2-5-pro 1440p, 4K, and 48 fps

* `ltx-2-5-pro` now generates 1440p and 4K in 16:9 and 9:16, and accepts 48 fps, on text-to-video, image-to-video, and audio-to-video.
* 1440p is billed at $0.25 per second and 4K at $0.39 per second. See [LTX-2.5](/models/ltx-2-5) and [Pricing](/pricing).

## August 19, 2026

## Audio-to-video generation params

* **Audio-to-video** now supports `fps` (default 24), `last_frame_uri` (requires `image_uri`), and `camera_motion` — matching text-to-video and image-to-video. Available on [**v2/audio-to-video**](/api-documentation/api-reference/async-video-generation/submit-audio-to-video) and [**v1/audio-to-video**](/api-documentation/api-reference/video-generation/audio-to-video).

## August 18, 2026

## Audio-to-video resolution parity

* **Audio-to-video** now supports the same resolution tiers as text-to-video and image-to-video: `ltx-2-5-fast` up to 4K, `ltx-2-5-pro` up to 1080p, and `ltx-2-3-pro` up to 4K.
* Maximum input audio length depends on model and resolution tier — for example, `ltx-2-3-pro` accepts up to 20 seconds at 720p/1080p and up to 10 seconds at 1440p/4K. See the [API reference](/api-documentation/api-reference/async-video-generation/submit-audio-to-video) for the full table.
* New resolution tiers are billed at the rates shown on [Pricing](/pricing).

Available on [**v2/audio-to-video**](/api-documentation/api-reference/async-video-generation/submit-audio-to-video) and [**v1/audio-to-video**](/api-documentation/api-reference/video-generation/audio-to-video).

## August 16, 2026

## LTX-2 removal

* As announced in the [July 2 LTX-2 deprecation notice](/api-changelog/2026/7/2), `ltx-2-fast` and `ltx-2-pro` are no longer available. Requests that specify these models return an error.
* Migrate to LTX-2.3 (`ltx-2-3-fast`, `ltx-2-3-pro`) or LTX-2.5 (`ltx-2-5-fast`, `ltx-2-5-pro`).

See [Supported Models](/models) and [Pricing](/pricing).

## August 11, 2026

## LTX-2.5

* New LTX-2.5 models for Text-to-Video, Image-to-Video, and Audio-to-Video, in portrait and landscape: `ltx-2-5-fast` up to 4K, and `ltx-2-5-pro` at 720p and 1080p. Audio-to-Video generates at 1080p on both.
* Both models accept camera motion, `last_frame_uri` on Image-to-Video, and `"duration": null` for automatic duration.

See [LTX-2.5](/models/ltx-2-5) and [Pricing](/pricing).

## August 10, 2026

## Automatic duration

* Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video now accept `"duration": null` on `ltx-2-5-fast`, letting the model choose the clip length from your prompt.

See [Automatic duration](/models/ltx-2-5#automatic-duration) and [Pricing](/pricing).

## August 2, 2026

## 720p video generation

* Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video now support a **720p** output tier on LTX 2.3 (`1280x720` landscape and `720x1280` portrait).

See [Pricing](/pricing) and the [supported models](/models).

## July 21, 2026

## New API domain: api.ltx.io

* The LTX API is now available at `https://api.ltx.io` — docs and code samples use it going forward.
* Existing integrations on `https://api.ltx.video` keep working unchanged, so no migration is required.

## July 7, 2026

## Video Reframe

* New `/v2/video-to-video-reframe` endpoint (async) to reframe a video to a new resolution, filling in the missing areas with generated content (720p and 1080p; 1:1, 4:5, 5:4, 9:16, 16:9).

[Submit a reframe job](/api-documentation/api-reference/async-video-generation/submit-video-to-video-reframe).

## July 2, 2026

## LTX-2 deprecation

* LTX-2 (`ltx-2-fast`, `ltx-2-pro`) will be deprecated on July 15, 2026. From that date, LTX-2 requests are automatically served by LTX-2.3 with no change to LTX-2 pricing. On August 15, 2026, LTX-2 will be removed and those requests return an error.
* Migrate to LTX-2.3 (`ltx-2-3-fast`, `ltx-2-3-pro`) before August 15, 2026.

## May 3, 2026

## Async API expanded to all video generation endpoints (Beta)

* New async endpoints: `/v2/text-to-video`, `/v2/image-to-video`, `/v2/audio-to-video`, `/v2/retake`, `/v2/extend`. Submit a job, poll for status, download from `result.video_url` when complete.

See [Async Jobs](/async-jobs) for more details.

## April 23, 2026

## HDR Video Conversion (Beta)

* New `/v2/video-to-video-hdr` endpoint for converting SDR videos to HDR. Returns per-frame EXR images suitable for professional color grading and HDR rendering pipelines.
* Introducing Async API support: submit a job, poll for status, download when complete. Currently only the HDR endpoint is supported; more endpoints will follow soon. See [Async Jobs](/async-jobs).

[Submit an HDR conversion job](/api-documentation/api-reference/async-video-generation/submit-video-to-video-hdr).

## Auto Top-Up

You can now configure auto top-up to automatically purchase credits when your balance falls below a threshold. Set a threshold and top-up amount, and the system handles the rest — no more manual credit purchases to keep your API running.

[Learn more about auto top-up](/auto-top-up).

## LTX-2.3

Introducing LTX-2.3 — a major leap in quality and speed for AI video generation. LTX-2.3 is now the default model across the API, available in two variants:

* **LTX-2.3 Pro** (`ltx-2-3-pro`) — best-in-class quality, supports all endpoints including audio-to-video, retake, and extend.
* **LTX-2.3 Fast** (`ltx-2-3-fast`) — blazing fast generation, supports text-to-video and image-to-video.

### What's new

* **Sharper fine details** — new latent space with an updated VAE delivers noticeably crisper output.
* **Cleaner audio** — improved data filtering reduces background noise and artifacts.
* **Stronger image-to-video** — more natural motion, fewer static clips, and better visual consistency.
* **Better prompt understanding** — improved text connector architecture for closer adherence to complex prompts.
* **Last-frame interpolation** — provide a first and last frame to the image-to-video endpoint, and the model generates the video in between.
* **Portrait video support** — native 9:16 vertical video generation across all resolutions.
* **24/48 FPS** — new frame rate options alongside the existing 25/50 FPS.

## February 18, 2026
